Don't bother (at least in the valley). I personally have never seen anyone catch anything all the years I've been going there, and if you do catch something, it won't be worth bragging about. Not worth the time or money imo.

Evergreen Lodge (along Hwy 120)
I've never been here, but a number of people tell me their experiences there were very good. Groveland is about 1 hr before Yosemite "valley" (not the entrance) on hwy 120.
Groveland is a VERY cute old town, especially at night. It's fun to walk along the downtown area.
Or, you can always spend close to $500.00 a night at the Ahwahnee Hotel. YEOW!
